Objectivity: Full compliance with the rules and regulations

Ethical principle: Leaders and employees fully comply with rules and regulations.

Leaders shall ensure that employees are aware of new rules and regulations affecting their work and that appropriate actions are taken to adjust company’s procedures to new requirements.

General: The Shipping industry is over-regulated and each shipping company has to follow the law of each country in which the vessel sails at, as well as the international rules and conventions. EST’s objective is to go beyond the international rules and legislation which mostly concentrate on ensuring the safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, and avoidance of damage to the environment and to property and move forward to a more proactive and socially responsible company by avoiding exposure to poor performance and unethical business acts with potential negative impacts not only on the company but also on stakeholders.
